This is my first time ever to blog anywhere and here I'm posting on my own website about our farm. Jack and I are excited about this new phase of our farm life. Though Jack (my husband) helped his father raise cattle since he was a boy, the beginning of this year marked our first year owning our own farm. We do have a small herd of cows, some Angus and some Limflex (half Angus / half Limousin) along with a young Limflex bull. We also have 22 chickens that have just started laying. I will probably blog about them also.
We began this year with 9 calves born last fall that are now ready to sell. We have sold 1 and another is spoken for which leaves 7 more available for anyone wanting some really great tasting, healthy meat for their freezer. I will post the total still available each time we sell one.
Another exciting season of new baby calves being born. At this time we have had 9 new calves born in the last month or so with 5 more to come (hopefully).
