Even though January is the beginning of the year, on the farm it seems more like April is the beginning of a new year with all the plants coming out green and new animals being born. Here at JindyDale Farms we are getting underway for another busy, busy year. Jack just put the first batch of broilers out in the pasture this weekend. They got a little chilly the first night but seem to be doing fine. The grass is just starting to take off growing well and the cows are happy to be eating something besides hay. We also got our first group of pigs and they are settling in well in the woods.
We do have one more full-grown pig available for someone who wants a whole pig or half pig to put in the freezer. Just contact us if you are interested.
Our hens are laying well - we're getting 8-9 dozen a day. So if you want healthy, fresh eggs, come and see us.
